I finally completed an idea I had for my mom. I think she would approve.Almost 60 years ago, on our way to visit friends...

I finally completed an idea I had for my mom. I think she would approve.
Almost 60 years ago, on our way to visit friends, my dad hit a pheasant. We saved the bird for eating since it wasn’t damaged and Mom saved the feathers from a good part of the bird, making a layout and framing it under glass. This year I took the frame apart removing the feathers and painted a life size watercolor/colored pencil mix of a pheasant then glued the quills to the canvas. This is the result. Let me know what you think. I put it under glass because I believe that’s what preserved these feathers all these years.
