Dolly Parton wasn’t just the queen of country music. She was the queen of advocacy. Through her juggernaut non-profit “Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library” she gifted over 300 MILLION books to children to encourage literacy and creativity.

“When I was growing up in the hills of East Tennessee, I knew my dreams would come true. I know there are children in your community with their own dreams. They dream of becoming a doctor or an inventor or a minister. Who knows, maybe there is a little girl whose dream is to be a writer and singer.

The seeds of these dreams are often found in books and the seeds you help plant in your community can grow across the world.”

Dolly’s legacy doesn’t die with her. Her kindness can live forever within our own actions!

At Aunt Eek’s, every child gets a free book every day of the week. You can do your part by donating to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, Storybridge (local), volunteer with your local library, or even drop off some gently used kids books with us for our free book program.

It's too hot in our shop to shop in the afternoon. We will be opening an hour earlier, at 10am and closing at 3 until next Friday when it creeps back below 100. We have some great new items in so come shop early!

Sunday, July 19th will be the last day to buy your tickets for the Best Basket Ever to benefit the family of Amanda Fitzgerald. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. All proceeds go directly to the family. Drawing will be held via Instagram live at 5pm Sunday.
