Not blacksmithing... again... but here is a shot of my current “video” camera while I experiment with my first gimbal. This is a Nikon D5100 which I have barely used in the last 3-4 years except to photograph knives, but now I’m using it in place of my Sony CX-405 after it’s screen died a few months back (sometime in the middle of 2018).

This is a Western Style Chefs Knife. The Blade is hand forged 1095 carbon steel and is full flat ground. The blade has been etched to reveal the quench line (the demarcation between hard quenched steel and unhardened steel). The handle is a full tang construction with purple heart scales and
