Beneath the Mechanic Building at Old Economy Village lies the impressive W**e Cellar, where the community stored the fruits of its labor. Featuring a barrel-vaulted ceiling that rises nearly 20 feet overhead, the cellar once housed massive casks of wine—including some capable of holding up to 1,200 gallons.

The Harmonists were known for their skilled craftsmanship and thriving industries, and winemaking played a vital role in the Village's economy. Today, the W**e Cellar offers visitors a fascinating glimpse into the scale of their operations and the ingenuity that helped make the Harmony Society one of the most successful communal societies in American history.
