Happy 250th Birthday, America. 🇺🇸❤️
As we celebrate our nation’s 250th birthday today, we’re reflecting on another milestone that means the 🌎 to us.
Just a few days ago, on July 1st, East Palo Alto celebrated its 43rd birthday. It was an incredible honor for “I ❤️ EPA” to spend that day with THE CULTURE KEEPERS —young leaders who are learning, preserving, and carrying forward the stories that built our city.
Seeing the next generation ask questions, share ideas, and proudly wear “I ❤️ EPA” merchandise reminded us that a community’s greatest legacy isn’t just its history—it’s the people willing to protect it and pass it on.
To the Culture Keepers, 🙏🏽 thank you for welcoming us, listening to our story, and inspiring us with yours. 💯💯💯 The handwritten notes, conversations, and encouragement meant more than you know.
We’re also grateful to imelda_benavides and everyone at the EPACENTER for creating a space where history, culture, and community continue to thrive.
As America celebrates 250 years, and East Palo Alto celebrates 43 years, we’re reminded that every generation has a responsibility: to honor those who came before us while making sure the next generation has something even greater to inherit.
The torch has been passed. 🕯️
And we’re proud to help carry it.
From our family to yours—Happy Independence Day. ❤️🇺🇸
Be sure to follow the EPA Community Archive and stay tapped in with the EPACENTER for upcoming community programs. We’re honored to continue supporting this movement and can’t wait to see you along the road. 🛣️
