Ordering online dresses seems simple: ensure to match your measurements and the dress should arrive via snail mail just in the knick of time and fit properly, right?! Unfortunately it doesn't always work out perfectly. Took on an urgent alterations project last night. 4 inches removed from the body + goodbye zipper and 2 inches shorter on contour hem and straps all completed in less than 24 hours!!

It was a feat to engineer how to take up the open weave lace with the net layer for this beautiful bustle. Problem solved by utilizing small scraps from bodice alterations!
