The Truth We’re Living Through… Please Read 💔
I never thought I’d have to write something like this.
On November 1st… Will went into sudden cardiac arrest right in front of me. For 10 terrifying minutes, he wasn’t breathing, and I feared I might lose him.
I jumped on the bed and started chest compressions.. counting through tears.. begging God with every push to bring him back. Nearly 10 minutes of watching the love of my life lie there limp… praying that I wasn’t holding him for the last time.
Those minutes replay in my head every night.
That fear… does not leave.
By God’s grace... Will survived. He is here.. His body is healing. His mind is processing. His heart was literally restarted multiple times.
And now the real battle begins…
Will has been out of work for a month and is facing at least 6 months of not being able to drive. I’m partially blind... I can’t drive either. Everyday things like getting medication, groceries, getting our daughter to school… suddenly feel impossible.
We are grateful….
At the same time, I had to shut down CGS Clothing. My business was apart of our income... but family and Will’s recovery had to come first. That means financially… we are hurting. Bills don’t stop. Rent doesn’t stop. Groceries don’t stop. Life doesn’t stop... Even when your world does.
Some nights i cry quietly so our daughter doesn’t hear.
Mornings i wake up praying that today isn’t the day everything falls apart.
The world didn’t stop when our hearts did... and fear settled right into the cracks that trauma created.
Someone who loves us set up a GoFundMe so we can keep our home stable while Will heals: • Gas and rides for medical care
• Keeping our daughter’s life from completely falling apart
• Covering basic needs and bills with no income
• Giving us just enough breathing room to survive this storm
If you’ve ever loved someone so much that losing them would break the universe inside you… then you understand why I’m here, humbly sharing our truth.
We’re not asking out of weakness...
We’re asking because love has demanded every bit of strength we had left.
