Owning a store means wearing every hat imaginable. It means taking chances, second-guessing yourself, celebrating the little wins, and trusting that all of the hard work will eventually lead somewhere special.
But more than anything…
It means you get to make meaningful connections with incredible people.
For the past few years, we’ve followed Sharon Kaye on social media. We’ve loved her recipes, her heart for family, and the way she creates a home that feels warm and welcoming. We’ve also been moved by her book, Childless No More, which offers hope and encouragement through the reminder that family is about so much more than biology.
Then one day we looked at each other and thought…
“Why don’t we just ask?”
Why don’t we ask if she’d be interested in partnering with our little shop?
Honestly, we didn’t know what to expect.
Lucky for us… she said yes.
We’re still pinching ourselves.
To have someone we’ve admired choose to partner with Favorite Things means more than we can put into words. It’s a reminder that sometimes the opportunities you’re hoping for begin with simply having the courage to ask.
