Birthdays are a special time and a perfect opportunity to make something from the heart. This tote is a great example of creating something with intention.
The interior of the bag is made from reclaimed denim and is anchored to the exterior of the bag, this detail was added to prevent any smaller items from becoming lost in bunched fabric at the corner/bottom of the bag.
The exterior of the bag is a treated canvas that will resist staining with an oversized pocket on the front. The heart is a collection of finger prints to reference the love my whole family has for the wonderful woman this bag was made for.
The straps of the bag are longer and results in the bag resting at hand level while standing. This means you can hold onto your bag as you navigate a crowd. A final added bonus is that the straps on the back of the bag are left detached across the middle. The weather changes and your bag is full, slide your sweatshirt through the open straps and you are hands free on the move. Have an umbrella or sunhat? That too can be tucked between the straps for hands free walking.
When you are creating a custom project fully embrace that you are in control. Mass production doesn’t always allow for details to be included when deadlines are trying to be met and overhead cost are counted to the nickel and dime. Higher end production can make these things happen but result in higher costs.
