One of the things I’ve noticed after 16 years of owning a resale shop…

Women don’t always put something back because they don’t like it. They put it back because they start questioning it.

Where would I wear this?
Can I pull it off?
Is it too much?

So here is what I say to that:
If there is ANYTHING about a piece that’s catches your attention-the color, the texture, the print, the details… Try it on.

You don’t have to buy it but you owe it to yourself to find out WHY it caught your eye.

Sometimes the best thing you find in the fitting room isn’t a new outfit- it’s a new side to yourself.

Some days I want to wear vintage.
Some days I want a band tee and sneakers.
Some days I want color- some days it’s all black.

None of these versions are more “me”.
They all are.

Somewhere along the way, we started believing we had to pick a lane. Boho. Classic. Edgy. Minimalist. Why? People aren’t one thing so why would our closets be.

You’re allowed to love sequins…and sneakers.
Linen…and leather. A thrifted blazer and a concert tee.

Your style doesn’t have to make sense to anyone else. It just was to feel like you.

Somewhere along the way, a lot of us started dressing for the roles we play.

The mom. The nurse. The wife. The business owner. The person everyone can count on.

And somewhere in the middle of all those responsibilities, we started leaving little pieces of ourselves behind.

But those roles don’t erase who we are.

We can be dependable AND creative. Practical AND bold. Responsible AND expressive. We don’t have to choose.

The people who love us aren’t asking us to become less of ourselves.

So don’t dress the role. Dress for the person living it.

Pay attention to what you always reach for.

The jacket you grab without thinking.
The boots you keep wearing.
The same silhouettes. The same colors.
The same pieces that somehow always make it back into rotation.

That’s not random. That’s your style.

We spend so much time trying to figure out what we “should” wear that we miss the clues already sitting in our closet.

Your style is already there. In the repeats. In the favorites. In the things you wear when nobody’s watching.

That’s the blueprint.

Getting dressed should not feel this hard.

Not every outfit needs to be new. Or trendy. Or flattering. Or perfect.

Somewhere along the way, we started putting way too much pressure on getting dressed.

To get it right. To look effortless. To be interesting.

That’s exhausting.

Style should make your life easier. It should help you feel like yourself without turning into a whole production.

Find what works. Wear it. Repeat it. Move on.

That’s enough.

TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT MY BEAUTIFUL BETTIES!

I’m sponsoring a night of weird in the best possible way.

The Weird Pals are taking over Appleton Beer Factory with a full Weird Al tribute, and honestly… what better excuse to get out, get loud, and have some fun?

Good music. Cold beer. Weird energy.

Exactly how a Saturday should feel.

Come hang out, support live music, and maybe wear the thing you’ve been waiting for an excuse to wear.

This feels like the occasion.

Too many dresses.
Not enough rack space.
Your gain.

Dresses are on sale now — come find one (or three) before they’re gone.

06/15/2026

Somewhere along the way, we got this idea that being stylish means constantly showing people something new.

A new outfit. A new trend. A new purchase.

I disagree.
I think style is finding what you love and actually wearing it.

Not saving it. Not retiring it because someone saw it last week.

Not convincing yourself you need something different just for the sake of being different.

If an outfit makes you feel good, wear it again.

And again.

And if people notice? Good. That means you’re memorable.

06/10/2026

Somewhere along the way, we were told we had to choose.

Comfort or style.

As if feeling good in your clothes somehow makes them less interesting. I don’t buy it.

Comfort isn’t giving up. Comfort isn’t boring. Comfort isn’t invisible. It’s knowing what works for you. It’s wearing clothes that let you move through your day without constantly adjusting, tugging, or thinking about them.

And if the clothes also make you feel like yourself? Even better.

You don’t have to suffer for a great outfit.

Comfort can still be style.
