💔🇺🇸 TRAGIC NEWS OUT OF SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS
What was supposed to be a night honoring our military turned into an unimaginable tragedy.
On Saturday, October 17, a U.S. Air Force service member was participating in a pregame rappelling demonstration at the Alamodome ahead of the UTSA vs. Navy football game when he tragically fell onto the field.
He was rushed to the hospital, but sadly, officials have confirmed that he did not survive. 💔
The video of this heartbreaking accident has been circulating online, and I’ve seen it.
I’ve shared heartbreaking news stories before, and I believe it’s important to keep people informed. But after seeing this video, I just couldn’t bring myself to share it.
There’s a difference between telling someone’s story and showing their final moments, and this one crossed a personal boundary for me.
I never want someone’s final moments to become just another video on somebody’s feed.
Behind this tragedy is a real person. Someone’s son, someone’s loved one, and a man who dedicated himself to serving our country. 🇺🇸
His life deserves to be remembered for so much more than the tragic way it ended.
My heart absolutely breaks for his family, his fellow service members, and everyone who witnessed this terrible accident. I cannot imagine what they are going through right now.
As someone who shares news, I want to keep you all informed, but I also believe some moments deserve compassion and privacy more than they deserve another share. ❤️
🙏 Please join me in keeping this service member’s family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.
Rest in peace, and thank you for your service. 🇺🇸❤️
