My Oma’s unconditional love taught me what that looks like, and that it is not unrealistic to seek it. Not just from others, but to try to give it to myself, and as a mother, partner and human. I think of her disposition often when I feel like I’m lacking. Her presence felt warm, safe and like genuine love.

This month she would have been 112. The longer she’s gone, the more I understand how fortunate we were, that she was here for 94🐞a
