Before the first model walked the runway, there was this.
HOMECOMING — A Short Film served as the opening chapter to the show, inviting everyone into the same headspace I found myself in during the final week of preparation. The pressure. The self-doubt. The expectations. The stress of what surrounded me. The endless thoughts that keep you awake at night.
Many of the visuals were inspired by sleep paralysis dreams I’ve experienced throughout my life. The dark figure symbolizes the weight of expectation, anxiety, and the internal battles that often come with creating something you deeply care about.
I wanted the audience to experience those emotions before seeing a single look on the runway. Once the screen cut to black, the lights came up, and the story truly began. The looks, the feeling, the emotion of the show was the outcome. —
