I gleaned and learned so many things from opening Leaky Roof, even if it was for a short while. We had many great times and things in my home and yours to make a beautiful place for your family. One of the things that a man shared with me, that I want to share with you is this amazing and simple mixture to bring wood back to life. It’s a game changer for me. Mix 1 part extra virgin oil, make sure it’s virgin olive oil, and equal part cider vinegar. That’s it. Shake and mix well before each use. I did this cabinet and sample on old trim weeks ago and I’m still amazed by it. I ran around my house doing old buffets and some raw wood and it works great and so simple. Just wanted to share with you, something a woodworker shared with me. Try it and let me know what you think. Have a great day.

Well we officially closed yesterday, so we are passing the torch to the next owners. She is not here yet, but hopefully will be soon. Clayton and Joel just got the new skylight installed today. We have literally been trying to get this done for many months. It just came yesterday! A little sad about it not belonging to us, but super happy to be spending the day with grandkids! 🙌

This has been a journey, but no regrets! We are so proud of how this historic building turned out and we know it will continue to bless other people for many years. We never dreamed it would sell so quickly and I know of 3 more people that were also wanting it if it fell through. That is very humbling to us and we are thankful to each and every person who had a hand in bringing it back to its glory!
Our goal was to restore it and save as much history as possible, but also to update it. The appraiser just kept saying “You did it right” and that made me very happy! I would like to thank the community and city for their amazing support and a big thank you to Mark and Dolores Coble for selling us this building and trusting us to restore it and do it right! I will always be grateful for the opportunity!
