Fiber Field Notes | Episode 2: Rolags vs. Art Batts
Both rolags and art batts are wonderful spinning preparations, but they're created differently and each offers a unique spinning experience.
Rolags are small rolls of hand carded fiber designed for woolen spinning. Art batts are created on a drum carder, allowing multiple fibers, colors, and textures to be blended into one preparation.
Neither is better than the other. They simply offer different ways to explore color, texture, and yarn.
Which do you reach for first?
