Did you know our entire business is run by two WNC moms?
Rebecca and Amanda started Big Creek Crafts in August of 2021 to not only earn an income as two stay at home moms, but also as a creative outlet. Being a stay at home mom can be difficult emotionally and extremely isolating (especially during COVID). Crafting has always been a wonderful outlet for both women and turning their skills into a full fledged business allowed them to combat the isolation through connecting with customers.
This was a major factor that played into the decision to offer products mainly on a made-to-order basis. By doing so, we are able to tailor products specifically to each person - and can therefore connect with our customers on a deeper level than that of a big-box store. This is also a huge reason we LOVE creating custom orders. Working with customers to bring their ideas to life really taps into our creative side while allowing us to work closer with the people in our local & global communities.
Big Creek Crafts strives to offer a high quality and personal experience to every customer, every time. While our products may take a bit longer to get into your hands (we do have small children after all), you can rest assured that we have put a lot of love, thought, and energy into each item we make.
