Hi everyone, we just wanted to share this on our official page. We will be closing at 4:30 today so our staff can attend this memorial. Please join us if you’d like to honor Warren & Brent’s memories. Warren was and continues to be an important part of the Altamont community.
The WNCAP Staff and Board are collectively saddened by the loss of our longtime friend and ally, Brent Wyatt, whose passion and efforts have fed thousands in our community. To our friends and partners at Loving Food Resources, we share in your loss, and send our sincere condolences. There will be a Remembrance Reception honoring Brent Wyatt and his partner Warren Fluharty on Thursday, August 20, 2026 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at Loving Food Resources located in Kenilworth Presbyterian Church on 4 Chiles Ave., Asheville, NC 28803.
The service will take place in the Fellowship Hall. Everyone is welcome, please come as you are.
