TBT A little trip down memory lane...
I stumbled across this photo of a silk dress and matching mask I designed during the Miami COVID days in 2020. It feels like a lifetime ago. I really loved creating these dresses, and this print—with its touches of metallic gold—was pure Florida sunshine.
Seeing it again reminds me how much joy I found in designing these wearable art dresses.
Maybe it’s time to revisit that chapter.

La Vie en Rosé is calling! 🍷
Last year, I had the pleasure of serving as MC for this beautiful event and presenting a few pieces alongside another designer. This year, I'm thrilled to be stepping onto the runway with my very own collection segment at L'ATELIER: The Art of Fashion and Wine! A benefit for the arts Council of Henderson County.
Join me on Saturday, June 13th at the stunning Marked Tree Vineyard as we celebrate National Rosé Day and the release of their award-winning Rosé, "Chloé."
I’ll be showcasing some of my newest silk and brushed silk scarves and shawls for the season, modeled by a fabulous group of friends who have graciously agreed to strut their stuff for me. (And trust me, they're bringing the glamour!)
Fashion, wine, beautiful vineyard views, music, community, and a little bit of runway magic under the stars—what more could you ask for?

👀👀Confession time 😂:
I hadn’t seen The Devil Wears Prada 2 yet. I’ve been a little busy, and honestly, I was waiting for the theaters to calm down a bit. 😄

Tonight was the night.

I really enjoyed it, but what surprised me most was how personally it hit home. Back in my illustration days, I worked with art agents and created artwork for many publications. When the film explores the shift to digital media, it brought back a lot of memories.
Like many creatives, I had to reinvent myself. For me, that meant turning my artwork into patterns and building a business designing silk scarves. I don’t regret it for a second—I love what I do now.
Still, there was something magical about walking into Barnes & Noble, opening Vogue Spain, InStyle, Entertainment Weekly, or another magazine and seeing my illustrations in print. That feeling was hard to beat.

The movie reminded me of that chapter of my life and left me feeling grateful for where I’ve been, and for where the journey has taken me.

And that was digital… AI is another s**t show!

I’m usually not a huge birthday boy, but when life gives you one of those milestone birthdays… you have to deliver.

So I decided to throw a Kaftan Party.
A CAFTAIL celebration 🎉

At first, I was honestly a little nervous making such a big ask of my friends. A full kaftan dress code? That could’ve gone very wrong. But I wanted to create a moment… a fantasy… an evening where everyone stepped out of their everyday life and came to play.

And WOW… Asheville absolutely delivered.

The colors, the fabrics, the drama, the glamour, the laughter — everybody showed up ready to celebrate life, friendship, fashion, and joy. It was one of those evenings that reminded me why I love this community so much.

A huge thank you to my friend for creating such beautiful food and flowers, to everyone who helped set up and bring the evening together, to Dj for keeping the energy alive with amazing beats, and to DayTrip for the delicious cocktails and making the night feel so special.

I went home with a very full heart tonight. I feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by such creative, loving, fabulous people.

Here’s to getting older, creating magic, and moving forward into bigger and better things.

Every birthday that ends in a zero feels a little different. A little deeper. A little more meaningful.

Today I’m feeling incredibly grateful — for the love, the messages, the friendships, the lessons, the laughter, and for this beautiful, complicated life I get to keep living. Thank you to everyone who reached out and made me feel so celebrated today.

I’m excited for whatever comes next. Still learning, still growing, still creating, still becoming. And honestly… still smirking my way through it all.

Well… apparently youth really is wasted on the young because after decades of bragging about my 20/20 vision, the universe finally humbled me.

First it was “just readers.”
You know… menus in dim restaurants, tiny cocktail receipts, dramatic text messages I suddenly had to hold at arm’s length. And now?

I am officially a full-grown man with actual glasses.

BUT… if this was going to happen, at least let me do it fashionably. Enter my new from Asheville Vision & Wellness. Lightweight, sleek, and honestly making me feel far more European and mysterious than necessary. I chose these blue tinted frames and I’m not mad about it. In fact, knowing myself, this is probably the beginning of a full eyewear era. Two more pairs minimum. Maybe three. We’re maturing, apparently. LOL.

is launching the Silhouette line this Friday, and I’ll be there with some of my scarves helping people find their look, their vibe, their alter ego 😉

I swear I’ve auditioned more color palettes than contestants on a reality show at this point… but we’re getting THERE 😅

After many rounds of “nope,” “absolutely not,” and “wait…maybe??” — I’m finally loving these five for my 100% cotton summer/fall shawls. (Yes, I worked my little tail off on this one.)

Now I need opinions: which TWO are your favorites?
Even though… let’s be honest… I’m probably making all five anyway.

And just so you know — the background color is the star of the show, the main character of each shawl.
