10/14: hello Facebook friends/families wanted to give an update: we have received power to the store a few days ago, but we are still without water, phone/internet. We have no eta on either of those at this time. The store is open on limited hours: Monday-Saturday 10-4 until we get running water and phone/internet service. I’ve received a few donations and will be delivering those to WNc Regional Livestock Arena tomorrow. My Facebook isn’t alerting to messages/comments so I’m sorry for just now responding. Please bare with us as Nathan and I are running computers/credit card machines from our phones as hotspots. We are trying to get to everyone. Also, as a small business this would have been a start to our busy season (leaf lookers) but this unfortunately will halt tourist for months to come. My great grandfather built this business in 1938, and we are wanting to keep it going for the next 100+ years. We appreciate each and everyone of you, we adore each and every person who has come to help Asheville, who have reached out, who have prayed. We are trucking along. We are Asheville Strong, we stand together. I love you all, from my family to yours!

I would like for you to take a second and please see this. This is my Brother-In-Law that is suffering from cancer. We're not sure if he will pull through during this tough time. His family is having to make long trips from their home to the hospital. He has two loving daughters and two boys that adore him. If you can't donate, then please share this. He and his family need any support and all prayers that you can offer. Thank You so much

Six months ago, my brother was diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma cancer. The disease has progressed quickly and we are in a place we never thought we would be. He is 43 years old with a wife and 4 children, 3 of which are still at home. He has not been able to work, of course, and the bills are...
