✨ COMING TO MY BOOTH THIS WEEK! ✨

I’m excited to be adding these beautiful pieces to my booth at Putter’s Trading Company! ❤️

These are the ones I have ready right now, but I’ll be making more, so be sure to stop by and check them out! 🥰

The photos are printed on rice paper, then carefully decoupaged onto the pieces and finished with an acrylic sealer for added protection.

I’m having so much fun finding new ways to use these gorgeous rice paper prints! 🌿🦌🌻

📍 Come visit my booth at Putter’s Trading Company and see what’s new!

Oh this is fun! I got from someone else.

Copy and paste the phrase below, copy into Chat GPT and let GPT describe you! 😆 It was so accurate! 😂

WARNING: Proceed with caution

She looks innocent enough, but don’t be fooled. She has the dangerous combination of “I can make that” syndrome, an obsession with rescuing old furniture, and absolutely no ability to walk past something unique without imagining what it could become.

She will say, “I’m just going to work on one project today,” and somehow end up with furniture covered in paint, decoupage prints everywhere, resin curing on a table, jewelry being organized, and a booth that suddenly needs an entire seasonal makeover. 😂

She has approximately 47 craft ideas happening in her head at any given moment, and “I don’t have time” only seems to mean “I’ll do it later tonight.”

She is also highly susceptible to fall decor, pretty rice paper, antiques, old windows, and anything she can turn into something nobody else has. 🍂😂

And whatever you do, DO NOT say, “You probably couldn’t make that.”

Because now she absolutely has to prove you wrong. 😏

Side effects of knowing her may include: becoming a regular at antique stores, receiving unsolicited photos of furniture transformations, being asked “What do you think?” about paint colors, and suddenly owning something you never knew you needed. 😂❤️

Last week was truly a whirlwind! ❤️

It started with a doctor’s visit with Aunt Gladys after her hospitalization, followed by attending the funeral of a loved one whose life ended way too soon. 💔 I also received my MRI results showing pinched nerves and disc degeneration in my neck, so now I’m contemplating treatment options and trying to figure out how to manage the neck and head pain while still maintaining my active lifestyle.

In between all of that, I was blessed with time catching up with family and gathering funeral flowers to preserve in resin. I’m so honored to be able to turn those special flowers into keepsakes that will help preserve precious memories. ❤️

And then the week ended with something truly beautiful! I had the privilege of helping photograph a military wedding in Lynchburg, VA, for a wonderful 65-year-old couple who reconnected after 44 years! 🥰 What an incredible love story! Some things really are meant to be. ❤️🇺🇸

Today I’m taking a much-needed day to rest and recharge because another busy week is already here! My sweet Tyler starts Special Olympics soccer and Taekwondo this week, and I couldn’t be more excited for him! ⚽️🥋❤️

I would definitely appreciate some prayers for my neck and head pain as I continue trying to keep up with this crazy, active life of mine. 😊🙏

And finally…my amazing husband is starting on my HUGE, LEVEL work table so I can get back to my resin projects! 🙌😂 No more trying to prop everything up with popsicle sticks to get my projects level!

I am SO over popsicle sticks! 😂😂😂

Here’s to a new week, new memories, new projects, and hopefully a little less chaos! ❤️

I started using rice paper prints when I began putting them on table tops. But when I had some rice paper prints that didn’t quite fit the furniture I was working on, I thought, “Why not use them on old windows, canvases and picture frames?” And that’s exactly what I did! 😊

Here are three pieces that I’ll be adding to my booth as soon as I have time to get the hangers on the backs.

🐻 The Bear:
The bear is in a wooden frame that was originally brown. I played around with different colors and tried a crackle effect, while bringing out some of the colors from the photo. I also added touches of paint to enhance the colors in the leaves.

🐦 The Birds:
The frame that has the birds in it, was originally light wood. This was my first attempt at the crackle effect…and I was HOOKED! 😂 I also used antiquing wax to give it an aged look.

I decoupaged the birds using rice paper and then added an additional acrylic sealer. I also used antiquing wax around the edges of the bird images. I wasn’t sure I was completely satisfied with the frame, but eventually I had to tell myself to STOP because I was driving myself crazy trying to decide what else to do! 🤪😂

🚚 The Old Truck:
This one is my favorite!!! ❤️ The old truck is a rice paper print applied to a canvas. I added some brown paint and antiquing wax around the edges to cover the areas where the rice paper didn’t completely cover the canvas.

Then I tried my hand at a technique I had seen where you sprinkle cinnamon onto Mod Podge to create a rusty, aged look.

Of course, I HAD to give it a whirl! 😂 And I LOVE how it turned out!!

I know my work isn’t going to be everyone’s “cup of tea,” and that’s okay! 😊 I’m just having fun learning new techniques, experimenting with different ideas, and turning things that might otherwise be overlooked into something new.

Hopefully, someone will like these enough to give one of them a new home! ❤️

And honestly…I’m already thinking about what I can put rice paper on next! 😂

I absolutely LOVE learning from other crafters! ❤️ I watch all these incredibly talented people with their pretty nails and their clean, tidy workspaces while they videotape themselves creating all these amazing things.

Honestly, I admire their ability to keep their workspace clean almost as much as I admire their creativity! 😂 HOW DO THEY DO IT?!

Meanwhile, I’ll be crafting in my basement room that looks like Michael’s and Hobby Lobby after a really bad storm 🌪️😂…all while looking at my not-so-pretty, chipped and paint-covered fingernails! 😆

Like seriously, people…how is a clean and tidy craft space even possible?! 😂

Okay…I admit it. I have a little bit of Crafter’s ADHD and jump from one craft to another…sometimes all within the same hour! 🤣

So, I think I need a few videos on HOW TO KEEP YOUR CRAFTING WORKSPACE TIDY!

If that’s actually a thing, PLEASE tag me! 😳😂

And if you’re a crafter whose workspace looks like mine…I see you! 😂❤️

I would love to hear in the comments…are you messy like me and would not dare show anyone your workspace or are one of those super human crafters whose space is immaculate ?!
