A smoke detector interrupting a Santa Fe salad should honestly qualify as a personal attack. 😂

I’m over here working my normal Monday-Thursday job, trying to be productive and eat vegetables like a responsible adult… and suddenly the smoke alarms start going off.

So naturally I’m sprinting through the house clearing rooms, sniffing walls, checking the attic, touching ceilings, fighting with a ladder like it personally offended me… all while my salad is just sitting there getting warm.

Turns out? LOW BATTERY. 🙄

Not the normal little chirp either. Noooo. Full blown EVERYONE PANIC alarm mode. SEVERAL. TIMES.

The ceiling really said: WHAT IF WE CREATE A CRISIS INSTEAD?

Anyway… battery changed, no fire, attic is apparently the surface of the sun, and my Santa Fe salad survived the trauma.

10/10 do not recommend this emotional experience. 🤣
