Donna made this lovely quilt. She had many stars which had points all lined up. It was created in 2011. I don't think that I have had any quilt with so many stars. Job well done.

One of our earliest quilt customers was Dana. Back in 2000 we used large butterfly designs on her quilt.

BREAKING: Lancaster County Amish unveil the all new Tesla Barntruck. After years of research, development, and staring suspiciously at technology, local craftsmen have successfully built a fully wooden Cybertruck powered by one horsepower. Literally.

The vehicle features handcrafted oak body panels, wagon wheels rated for speeds up to "whoa there," and a revolutionary self-driving mode where the horse already knows where it's going. The range is unlimited as long as you stop every few hours for hay and passive-aggressive conversation.

Sources say Elon Musk was last seen frantically sketching blueprints after learning the Amish version can actually survive a Pennsylvania pothole. Unlike the real Cybertruck, this one can be repaired with a hammer, two cousins, and whatever lumber is left over from building a shed.
PennDOT has already classified it as both a motor vehicle and a historic structure.

Pennsylvania remains undefeated.

Colleen & Terry teamed up on this quilt. Each block was quilted with a flower pattern. The red border had a row of flowers that went all the way around. Coleen has moved to the East Coast and still sends us a quilt once in a while.

Here is a quilt that we made using the CROOCKED NICKLE method. In the past, material companies sent out their new patterns in 5 inch squares. Thus the name NICKLE referring to the 5. The material stores had all these bundles of 5" squares. Now, what to do with all these squares. Lisa designed & patented an "on point fusible stabilizer" which has printed lines on an angle. The blocks and sashing are ironed onto the stabilizer. This helps the beginner keep everything straight as the quilt top is folded and sewn. We are proud to carry her stabilizer and patterns

A rag quilt is always fun to make. Fun if you remember 3 things. First, get a scissors made by Fiskar that is for pruning. It has a short nose that makes cutting the layers of material easier. It was in the material department before Fiskar moved it to the gardening area. Second, do not make the first wash in your home machine. The first wash is when the material frays and clogs your home machine's filter. BIG time repair bill. Use the commercial machine at the laundromat. Those machines have huge filters that do not clog. If you have bright colors, use a "COLOR CATCHER" sheet found in the dryer sheet dept. It will keep the colors from bleeding to your lighter squares. The first time I washed 5 quilts in the same machine, the ladies about had a fit. I had brights as well as whites all together. They figured that "here was a dumb bell that was going to have all his whites turn pink". They were surprised when they all came out perfectly. Have fun and experiment.
