This morning I went to a function where MARTA recognize my father, and eight others who are collectively known as the “Avondale Nine” for their dedication and expertise in bus and rail, safety and maintenance as they were MARTA’s first Black railcar technicians and part of the group of employees responsible for the deployment of MARTA’s first heavy railcar service in 1979. I could never say that I have been more prouder of my father but I can say this is a special day that will live with me.

I hate standing in line for S #%t... don’t get me wrong if there was a free money line, I’d be the first one there.😂. I won’t stand in line at the bank, I won’t stand in line for a Publix sub sandwich. Hell I won’t even stand in line for the fried wings with the crack dust at JJ Fish& Chicken 😂 But I will stand in line to exercise my hard fought right to vote. Use it or lose it people🇺🇸
