Here at Deb's Special Stitches, I specialize in products for SPECIAL people! My shop is divided into four categories:
Special Needs: My 18-year experience with special needs children inspired a variety of products that met the special needs for individual children with whom I worked. Special needs items include g-tube pads, wheelchair & walker accessory bags, sensory sorters for visually impaired
and autistic children, wheelchair/body support harnesses, and item search bags. Special Events: My first product created for a special event was a photo quilt to celebrate a friends' 100th birthday. Special event items include products such as memory/heirloom quilts made from a loved ones' clothing or jeans and photo quilts. Jeans, clothing or neck ties may also be re-purposed into purses and various other accessories. Special Little Ones: We ALL have special little ones in our lives! I have been sewing for my own children and grandchildren for nearly 40 years. My grandchildren have enjoyed playing with some of the special items I made for their daddies! Special little ones items include Quiet Books, quilts and blankets, "Quillows" (blanket converts to pillow or stadium cushion), item search bags, sensory tag rubbies, infant carriers, diaper covers, diaper bags, changing pads, grocery cart seats and pillowcase dresses.
