I spent most of my career designing for one of the largest big box baby brands on planet earth. Until I had a baby
..and realized that all this time I had been designing very adorable future trash. Cheaply made clothes intended to be worn a time or two and then disposed of. SO I SPENT A FEW YEARS RESEARCHING, TESTING, TWEAKING, AND TINKERING WITH SOMETHING BETTER--EXPANDABLE CLOTHES THAT WOULD G

ROW *WITH* YOUR CHILD. EXTRAORDINARILY DURABLE FOR YEARS OF WEAR & TEAR, AND GENDER NEUTRAL SO THEY COULD BE HANDED ON THROUGH GENERATIONS OF HAPPY KIDDOS. And now after 5 years in business I know for a fact that it works--because so many customers send me pics of their children wearing the very same outfit they bought years ago. It's just good design.

Tiny feet can have BIG (carbon) footprints, especially when they are going through clothes quicker than you can say "this little piggy!" We can't keep our little ones from growing up--but we can keep them from growing out of their clothes so quickly!

DESIGNED TO FIT 3X LONGER

Imagine a world where you aren't having to replace your child's clothes two seconds after you've brought them home. Where their outfits are so well made and sturdy they can be shared with siblings, friends, neighbors...future generations. We're using old-school design techniques to create outfits that fit a LOT longer--from adjustable straps to pants and sleeves intended to roll up or down, it's not rocket science--just good design.

SUSTAINABLY SOURCED, ETHICALLY SEWN

Did you know the fashion and textile industry is the 2nd most polluting on earth, next to oil? Our fabrics are purchased from other manufacturers who have milled more than they need. It's a TRULY sustainable solution that keeps those beautiful textiles out of the landfill and back into circulation. And our garments are sewn by joyful hands right here in the USA!

GENDER AGNOSTIC

It's a little bit heartbreaking and lot bit wasteful when we have to discard an outfit just because our second child is a different s*x than our first. Unis*x clothing can be shared again and again, regardless of the child's s*x. Our collection is almost entirely gender neutral, so no garment is discarded before its time. We teach our children to share everything else, right?

Hi! My name is Laurel, and I'm an optimist. I truly do believe that clothes can make our lives easier and more joyful, while saving the planet from unnecessary waste at the same time.

I spent the majority of my career designing for fast fashion retailers, but after my daughter Beya was born I felt an obligation to use my design expertise to change the way we consume clothing.

Our children are only little for such a little while, we enjoy them most when we aren't struggling to keep up with them...or their STUFF! I created Beya Made to provide you with clothes that grow with your child; a single Beya Made garment fits up to three times longer than traditional children's clothes. Less clothing means more time to spend with the ones you love best.
