⛳️ Our first course is Little Creek Golf Course in South Charleston, WV — This 18-hole public course opened in 1921, and features 6,096 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 70. The course rating is 67.2 and it has a slope rating of 109.

⛳️ — Oakhurst Links is a historic golf course located in White Sulphur Springs, Greenbrier County, West Virginia. It is a nine-hole course designed and created in 1884 by Russell Montague. The golf course was based upon traditional Scottish design elements and operated until 1912 when the property reverted to a grazing pasture.

In 1959, Lewis Keller Sr. and his wife, Rosalie, purchased the property to raise their family and breed racehorses. Lewis was often seen playing with Greenbrier resident and professional golfer Sam Snead. Snead later informed Keller that his property was thought to be the site of the first golf course in the United States. Following that, with the help of his good friend and architect Bob Cupp, Lewis restored and re-opened Oakhurst Links.

From 1994 to 2010, Oakhurst Links was open to the public with historically accurate hickory clubs and gutta-percha balls, on a course nibbled by a flock of sheep, just as it was in 1884. The golf course was later recognized on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Unfortunately, the course was damaged by floods in 2016 and has yet to be re-open.

Your golf game is only as strong as your confidence. That is why we are committed to creating a lifestyle brand that empowers you to feel as pure and authentic as the game of golf.

At Allegheny Golf Co., we believe in more than just selling affordable golf apparel and accessories. We want to have an impact on the West Virginia golf community. By telling inspiring stories of the state's rich golf history and creating a community of like-minded golfers who support a vision of making West Virginia one of golf's top destinations.

As a startup company, we plan to sell branded apparel and accessories in limited collections as pre-orders. Pre-orders are defined: as orders placed by customers that are paid upfront for products they will receive at a later date. This plan is only temporary due to a limited budget.

We plan to use social media to grow the Allegheny Golf community during this startup stage. But later, once funds are adequate, we plan to create a website that allows you to pre-order our apparel.

Our website will also serve as an online community for golfers to learn more about the great game of golf and its West Virginia origins. We hope to support all local golf courses and ranges in the great state by providing you with the most accurate and up-to-date information on each destination, and much more!

Did you know that America’s first golf course was built right here in .

In 1884, Russell Montague of learned of the sport that was so popular in Scotland and Great Britain, and he was instantly intrigued. With the help of some local friends and neighbors, he built the first golf course in the United States on his Sulphur Springs property, later known as Oakhurst Links in Greenbrier County, WV.

As a tribute to the great game of golf, and it’s West Virginia origins. was created to advocate and connect West Virginia golfers of all kinds. Our mission is to inspire today’s youth to participate in the greatest game on earth while honoring its greatest traditions.

The Allegheny Golf Company is a lifestyle brand inspired by those who love the game of golf. We provide affordable golf apparel, tell inspiring stories, and invite you to partake in a community of like-minded West Virginia golfers. The Allegheny brand is powered by people who have a passion for golf and expressing themselves though what they wear.
