Just a quick heads-up for my customers traveling downtown! The next phase of the Broad Street Improvement Project begins Monday, August 10, between 12th, 11th, 10th, 09th Streets.

If you’re coming in for an alteration drop-off, fitting, or pickup, please allow yourself a little extra time for parking and navigating the construction areas.

🚧 TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Broad Street Construction Update 🚧

Beginning Monday, August 10, crews will begin the outside phase of construction on Broad Street between 12th Street and 11th Street as part of the Broad Street Improvement Project.

Parking Changes:
• Outside parking will be removed in this section to accommodate sidewalk and curb alignment construction.
• Inside parking will remain open throughout construction.

Pedestrian Access: Construction will take place in phases to help maintain access to businesses and sidewalks.

Pedestrians will be able to access areas closest to businesses from intersection crosswalks.
Construction activities will include curb, sidewalk and asphalt removal; water and sewer utility upgrades; drainage improvements; landscaping; and new sidewalk, lighting and hardscape installations.

Drivers and pedestrians: Please stay alert near active work zones and follow posted signage for safety.

🤩 Absolutely Ma’am! 💛 My beautiful hairstylist stopped by for a dress alteration. 🤓✂️🧵 Sew cool, we’re each other’s clients! 🤣 She’s been doing my hair for almost 5 years now (since early 2022 when I relocated from Atlanta to Augusta). Her hair salon is also here in Downtown Augusta. Stay tuned for the before and after! 🔥 Garment surgery. ✂️

🤯This skirt needed to be rebuilt. A few panels were removed😲 I’m remeasuring everything, and putting it back together with balance in mind. Problem solving. 🤓✂️🧵 I LOVE MY JOB!🤭

When customers want to keep the original factory hem, there’s more to it than simply shortening the jeans. Rebuilding the hem helps preserve the original look while giving them the length they need.

It’s one of those details that most people never notice, but it’s what makes a professional alteration look like it was made that way from the beginning.
