Transitional Style: The 1950s Cardigan

The cardigan was a wardrobe essential in the 1950s—and the perfect piece for dressing between seasons. Worn buttoned as a top, draped over the shoulders, or layered over a blouse or dress, it added just enough warmth without hiding the feminine silhouette of the look.
