A Divine Encounter on My Healing Journey ✨
Sometimes God places people in our path at exactly the right moment, and on Thursday I experienced one of those moments.
While visiting the Frida Kahlo Museum in Mexico City, I met a beautiful woman who is a pastor from Guyana. 🇬🇾 What began as a simple meeting turned into something I can only describe as divine.
We connected so deeply. We shared our stories and talked about faith, healing, love, and life. Then we prayed together. There was something so genuine and beautiful about our connection that it felt as though we had known each other much longer than a few hours.
She and her husband invited me to visit their home in Guyana and told me they would love to host me and make it a family affair. My heart was overwhelmed. ❤️
And here’s the part that brought me to tears…
When I was just 16 years old, I used to walk past UNICEF on my way to work and think, “One day, I want to do something that makes a difference in this world.”
I never could have imagined what my journey would look like all these years later.
Through so much love, pain, loss, healing, and growth, I am beginning to understand that sometimes the path doesn’t reveal itself all at once. Sometimes God simply places one person in front of you, opens one little door, and says, “Keep walking.”
I don’t know exactly where this new friendship will lead, but I know I’m grateful.
Maybe Guyana will become part of my story. 🇬🇾
Maybe this friendship will open a new chapter.
Maybe there is something there that I am meant to experience, learn, give, or receive.
Whatever it is, I’m going to follow it with an open heart.
At 69, I am learning that it’s never too late for a dream to find you again.
My healing journey continues, and today I feel incredibly blessed. 🙏❤️🌎
