🇫🇷 EUROPE TRIP — PART 2: PARIS! 🇫🇷 4 nights, 5 days
Paris was a WHOLE different experience from Amsterdam. 😂 Busy, chaotic, packed with people and honestly… it reminded me a little bit of New York City.
But the SHOPPING. 🛍️😍 I was in heaven. I finally got to visit so many of the designers I love, and since we arrived right before Paris Fashion Week, we even stumbled across model castings happening around the city. As someone who still loves styling and gets to do it every now and then, that was SO fun to see.
And because apparently I can’t escape real estate even when I’m across the Atlantic 😂… I spotted Christie’s International Real Estate in Paris! Pretty cool seeing a name I recognize from the Austin real estate world all the way over here. 🏡🌎
A few Paris highlights:
✨ The Louvre + seeing the Mona Lisa in person
✨ Going ALL the way to the top of the Eiffel Tower
✨ Shopping, shopping and more shopping
✨ Staying at citizenM Champs-Élysées — super convenient and right in the middle of everything
✨ Learning the Métro and cruising around the city with our day passes 🚇
✨ Amazing food and surprisingly some FABULOUS Chinese food 🥡
✨ 16,000+ steps EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. 👟
💅 I got a French Manicure in France 🇫🇷
Key Takeaways:
There are cafés EVERYWHERE. People sit outside, eat, drink, smoke and hang out until late at night. And yes… EVERYONE SMOKES Ci******es 🚬
Crossing the street? GOOD LUCK. Pedestrians, cars, scooters, bikes… everyone just seems to go. After Amsterdam’s organized bike lanes and traffic lights, Paris felt like a complete free-for-all. 😂
English was also widely spoken in the places we went, so getting around and communicating was much easier than I expected.
Trying to see the Mona Lisa was an absolute s**t show, so many people pushing and shoving to get a picture and see it, needs to make lines like Disneyland
Overall, Paris was exciting, beautiful, fashionable, chaotic and definitely an experience. Au revoir, Paris! 🇫🇷✌️
