From our owner, Lynn, and all of us at Forbidden Fruit. RIP to the legend, the icon, Jonny Reynolds💔

Dear friends, I am not much for posting on socials these days but am compelled to share the absolutely heartbreaking news of the passing yesterday of our beloved Forbidden Fruit and TXBF family member Jonny Reynolds aka The Captain (a reference to his love of Star Trek and he was team Piccard NOT Kirk!) I do not even know where to begin, The loss I am feeling is deeply profound. Jonny came into my life via The Texas Burlesque Festival back in 2010 as a volunteer. We all knew straight away, he was our kind of crazy and we needed him not only at TXBF but at The Fruit as well. Thus began a 16 year odyssey of all things kinky, krafty and the best kind of insanity imaginable. His acerbic wit, sassy- frass comebacks, and ebullient spirit made it impossible not to love him, even when he was being a curmudgeon! I will miss his blithe spirit and breezy demeanor with customers, co-workers and fellow performers and indomitable " I will prevail" attitude in the face of all his recent health issues.The universe had other plans for you Captain. Thanks for letting me be one of your Golden Girls. I miss you terribly and love you madly. Rest in peace and power as you sail across the final frontier!!

Dear friends, fans and followers of the Fruit,
We are heartbroken to announce the passing our beloved Forbidden Fruit and Texas Burlesque Festival family member Jonny Reynolds aka The Captain (a reference to his love of Star Trek and he was team Piccard NOT Kirk!) We do not even know where to begin, The loss we are feeling is deeply profound. Jonny came into our lives via The Texas Burlesque Festival back in 2010 as a volunteer. We all knew straight away, he was our kind of crazy and we needed him not only at TXBF but at The Fruit as well. He quickly rose from a part timer to store manager, handling our website, scheduling and eventually teaching workshops , handling our cross promotions and support of community organizations , especially the burlesque community as he was a founder of the Bat City Bombshells. We will miss his blithe spirit and breezy demeanor with customers, co-workers and fellow performers and indomitable " I will prevail" attitude in the face of all his recent health issues.
The universe had other plans for you Captain. We miss you terribly and love you madly. Rest in peace and power as you sail across the final frontier!!
