Today marks the 20th anniversary of Parts & Labour!
It has been an honor and a privilege to serve the creative community and to be a source of revenue and networking resources for two decades.
It's been simultaneously rewarding and at times heartbreaking to be the small business owner of this company. Simply reflecting on the past twenty years has been daunting and frankly exhausting. The highs and lows, the hundreds of makers, dozens of dedicated staffers, volunteers, and thousands of patrons I've shared time with has been a gift to experience. It's no wonder having a job that involves so many humans would be so emotionally taxing.
Though, not a day goes by that I'm not beside myself with gratitude, today included.

Finding the balance between being present and being nostalgic and reflective will be a focus of mine, moving forward. I'm inspired to get explore even more ways to support and elevate local makers, old school and greenhorns alike. This city seems like a new version of itself everyday and in many ways we feel the same.

Thank you Austin for twenty years of supportive and encouraging sales, encouraging words, and glowing smiles. Thank you for humbling lessons that teach empathy, patience, acceptance, and what seems like every possible boundary ever.

We excited to move forward with optimism and a little more wisdom than in 2004 and we hope to make you proud!

"Amabie" are creatures that originate from Japanese legend. They are traditionally regarded as a cultural symbol of protection from sickness. This amabie tee came from our collaboration with our in-house art team and long time Austin based Japanese musician and visual artist . This limited print run of tees are $26 each.
