September is right around the corner, and I am REALLY EXCITED about what we have going on here next month. And how YOU all get to partner with me! Here's a sneak peek:
We will be working directly with the Santiago Partnership - YOU get to be a part of a groundbreaking vision to help build a Women's Artisan Studio to enable women to break free from violence and trauma. Santiago Partnership is currently working with 15 to 20 women in Ecuador who are coming out of Domestic Violence situations. Most have no means to financially break free with their children from their abusers. These women will gain necessary skills, learning different local indigenous trades to sell in order to gain economic independence from their abusers.
We need your help to complete construction on the second floor of the Home for At Risk Children and to use the space to create an Artisan studio for these women - complete with its own back entrance, a dedicated and safe space for these women to learn and sell their craft.
Kim Carter-Delp is here to walk us through this, and answer any questions! We are really excited to serve in this way, and praying for some mountains to move this month. This weekend, we'll go a little deeper into understanding the organization we're partnered with, so you have a better picture of how you can give.
