The Story of Liz James Designs

I spent nearly 20 years as a dental hygienist—precision, attention to detail, and a steady hand were my everyday tools. But one day, I traded dental instruments for wire, metal, and stones, and Liz James Designs was born.

Inspired by my mother, artist Rosie Sandifer, I’ve always had a love for craftsmanship. What started at a small table with sketches and scattered stones has grown into a brand with a dedicated team of women, handcrafting every piece in our Austin studio.

For 16 years, Liz James has been about more than jewelry—it’s about creating pieces that move with you, from the boardroom to the ball field, from casual days to life’s biggest moments.

I’m endlessly grateful for this journey and for every woman who has made Liz James a part of her story. Here’s to the next chapter!
