To meld both of these passions, I have founded not only my styling salon, but most recently, a gift boutique, featuring everything from clothes to succulents...as a taste, we feature jewelry, essential oils, beauty tools, products, supplies and accessories; as well as hand made dips and soup mixes, canned goodies and more! Happy Monday! Since we were late last week, we are making up for it by being early this week! Here is your DIY doTerra recipe of the week!

Dry Shampoo- keep your hair looking and smelling fresh between shampoos with this great alternative to washing your hair.

Ingredients
For light hair:
¼ cup arrowroot powder
2 drops Lavender oil
2 drops Rosemary oil
2 drops Peppermint oil

For dark hair:
2 TBs arrowroot powder
2 TBs cocoa powder
2 drops Lavender oil
2 drops Rosemary oil
2 drops Peppermint oil

Directions: Place arrowroot, cocoa (if using), and essential oils into food processor
Pulse until well combined, and store in glass jar.

Use a makeup brush to apply to roots, your part, and/or oily parts of hair. Enjoy!

A little late, but here is the RECIPE OF THE WEEK! We all need fresher carpet, especially if we have pets and/or kids. Super simple to make.

Carpet Cleaner Recipe
1 cup Baking Soda
15 drops Purification essential oil (try a citrus oil, tea tree, rosemary, lavender or lemongrass)
6-8 oz. glass shaker bottle

Mix the ingredients and store them in a glass/stainless steel shaker. To use, sprinkle over your carpet and let it set for about 5 minutes. Vacuum as usual.
Store in a dry place away from children. And bonus, if you store it open in your linen closet, it will keep the air fresh and deodorized.

2 cups white vinegar
2 cups water
1 teaspoon natural dish soap (NOT castile soap)
30 drops lemon essential oil
20 drops melaleuca (tea tree) essential oil

Mix all ingredients in a quart-sized spray bottle. Shake to combine. Spray and wipe on counters, cabinets, sinks, toilets or any household surface.

This week, make your own air freshener.🌸🌼 🌺🌷
So simple!

What you need:
❀ small jar
❀ fabric
❀ band (rubber band or ribbon)
❀ 1/4 cup baking soda
❀ 5-6 drops of lavender or your favorite doTerra essential oil
❀ fresh lavender sprigs for decorative appeal (optional)
