Small batch changes the way I make decisions.

When you’re not making thousands of something, every choice feels closer.
Do I love this print enough?
Is this color right?
Would I actually want to live in this?

There are practical constraints too, of course. But I like that the process still leaves room for instinct. For me, that’s part of the point.

Not sure what to gift her?

This one started as a very different top.

The first sample wasn’t quite right, so I made some changes and requested it in the final fabric.
Still not there.

The shape felt a little off and the armholes were too narrow. So we went back to the drawing board: more volume, more ease, and less tension around the arms.
A few rounds of changes later, it finally started to feel like Sundara.

Eventually it became the current version of MADI Sleep Top.

A garment starts long before it becomes a listing on the website.
This is the part of the process I love most: seeing what survives from the first idea all the way through production and, eventually, into your hands.

A little SUNDARA in Miami.

A look back at our weekend at Macy's Aventura with the Fifteen Percent Pledge.

It was a pleasure introducing SUNDARA to new faces, sharing our hand block-printed cotton pieces, and seeing people discover the prints and fabrics in person.

This is Dorothy Sleep Top.

One of the decisions I made while developing it was to keep the collar and structure of the shirt for the clasic look but also be very floaty and boxy for comfor and playfull with the contastic priint elements.

What I love now is how easily it fits into real life: from the bed to the armchair- no need to change!

I talk about the Pajama Promise often, but I also want you to be able to see what it actually means.

This is 22 Promise Pairs going to Site Annapolis Elementary School in March 2026.

Every Leighton Signature Set purchased provides one new pair of pajamas to a child through Pajama Jams for Youth.

It’s a small part of a much bigger mission that began with Jams years before SUNDARA existed.

Macy's Aventura in Miami as part of an activation with the Fifteen Percent Pledge

It was wonderful to be surrounded by so many talented Black-owned brands and the founders behind them.

What a buti print is — and why you’ve probably seen one before.

Buti is a small repeated motif or sprig. It’s one of those textile words that gives a name to something you may already recognize by eye.

Once you learn the language, you start seeing it everywhere.
