Okay, I know you are all dying to find out how my retirement is going, well it is great. Can't say I have gotten much done at home but I am doing some sewing.
I was a great 24 years of being my own boss. The best part was meeting and becoming friends with my customers. Quilting is really all about the friendships you make during your quilting journey. I have made many and hope I can stay in touch with those special people. I love you all and thank you for all of the kind wished and cards. Thank you all!

New Friends and Old Friends

Make new friends, but keep the old;
Those are silver, these are gold.
New-made friendships, like new wine;
Age will mellow and refine.
Friendships that have stood the test-
Time and change - are surely best;
Brow may wrinkle, hair grow grey;

Hey everyone, thank to all that have been in for our great retirement sale. Sorry if we have been too busy to visit, but Feb. has been crazy busy. We will be open to the end of Feb. Same discount and plenty of fabric to choose from and lots of our sample for sale if you are not a quilter or need a quick gift. Hope we see soon.

Remember we are not open for Super Bowl Sunday! Stay home and enjoy the beautiful snowy scene out your Windows. We will open TUES. at 10 am starting my retirement sale.
45 o/o off all FABRIC BOOKS PATTERNS NOTIONS! 50 o/o off end of the bolt! This sale will run throughout Feb. at which time the store will close. Brian is staying in the store to continue to quilt. This week, January 27th through the 31st the discount is 30% off regular price merchandise like fabric, fat quarters, backings, batting, notions, books and patterns and 35% off the end of the bolt. Sale room items are priced as marked.
By now, the bright green Retirement Sale postcards have found their way to your mailboxes. We will NOT have our annual ginormous football event sale so don't come on Sunday. The Retirement Sale will begin Tuesday, February 3rd. Remember, NO ginormous football event sale on Sunday and the Retirement sale begins Tuesday, February 3rd.

WOW! We have been amazingly busy this past week, but......
there is a lot of fabrics left on the shelves. We have seen a lot of old friends and had good visits. Everyone is so nice about my decision to retire and I think I can join friends at many coffee shops around Avon.
This week,20th - 24th will be 25% off fabric, books, patterns, & notions. And 30% off the end of the bolt.

Happy New Years, Everyone!!!
After 23 years in business, I will be closing the shop on Feb. 28, 2015. I am really looking forward to spending my mornings at home with Matt Lauer,Today Show, and a hot cup of coffee. Also I am planning to spend more time quilting for my grandkids and spending more time with them. Won't the teenagers be delighted with that!!
Although I will be retired, Brian will continue with the quilting he does for people. He will remain in the shop location for your machine quilting needs. We are in the process of having business cards printed for him with his contact information. That way everyone can contact him for appts. to bring in and pick up quilts.
I have truly enjoyed my time with all of my customers and quilting friends. I will miss you all.
We will be open for business Tues. thru Sat. 10 - 5. Beginning the week of Jan. 13 everything will be 20% off and our big Sale the week of my birthday, Feb.3 - 7. Post cards will go out for that info.
I will keep everyone posted on upcoming events so stop in the visit.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all of us at The Clothesline! We will be taking some time away from the shop to be with our families and will be closed Christmas Eve through January 6th. We will re-open January 7th with our regular business hours of Tuesday through Saturday 10-5. We hope you find some time to sew a stitch or two and have a safe and blessed Holiday season.

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at The Clothesline Quilt Shop! We are taking some time away from the shop to be with our families and will be closed from noon, Wednesday, November 26th until Tuesday, December 2nd when we will reopen with our regular business hours Tuesday through Saturday 10-5.
