This has always been my favorite quote. As I wind down from making over 2500 basset snoods (since 2014!), I have decided to use this platform to take the opportunity to raise money for hounds (and their humans!) in need. I have found that crochet hurts my hands less than knitting and working on projects slowly doesn’t seem to hurt my arms and shoulders so much. So going forward, I plan to work exclusively on crochet blankets to raise money via raffle fundraisers. My current project will be a pink velvet blanket to raise funds for the New England Basset rescue (swipe left to see sneak peek). Stay tuned! If you don’t see as many posts from me, it’s because I am either working on blankets, or making soap!😂💜 thank you all for your support. Together we can make miracles happen!!

It’s 🌟FUNDRAISER TIME🌟for ‼️

UFBH has been helping rescued bassets find forever homes since 2002. This group works with local and state shelters to reduce euthanasia of basset hounds. Approximately 60% of their rescues come from direct owner surrender, which helps ease the burden of local shelters. They also provide continuing support to adoptive families throughout the lifetime of the dogs. In 2023 they took in 161 hounds in need! Every penny counts when it comes to making ends meet for this selfless group of basset lovers, so I’ve decided to help raise some funds for them through soap sales! Here’s how it works:👇💜

Starting today through Friday 2/9, 50% of all soap sales proceeds will be sent directly to UFBH (that’s about $5/bar!). Message me for current list of available soaps (including these basset soaps pictured while supplies last!)

A young lady at the barn where I board Penny would LOVE to have a chance to continue her riding lessons. 🐴 💜Unfortunately this isn’t something her family can provide, and she’s too young to work/drive. I’m not big on hand outs, but this is one time where I see this as a hand UP. A horse is a wonderful way to keep young girls focused, and becoming strong horse women. 💪
