Many thanks to the members of the Pryor Patchers Quilt Guild for a fun evening and great workshop! We enjoyed our couple of days with you. 😊🧵🪡 The mini hexified panels turned out great! Nicely done, ladies!

For 2026 I only booked a handful of trunk shows. This coming week is my only one out of state. I'll be speaking to the Pryor Patchers Quilt Guild in Pryor, Oklahoma, on Tuesday evening, August 25, and teaching a 1-day mini hexified panel quilt workshop on Wednesday.

There are quilts everywhere I look in my home as I started sorting today to update my trunk show on Hexified Panel Quilts. Two suitcases were emptied, collections for other trunk shows were sorted out, and the updated collection of hexie quilts is about ready to be packed up. Our most recent finish, Running Wild, that has been quilted since this pic, but not yet bound, will make its in-person debut!

A side project I started for a One Block Wonder challenge got interesting. What happens when you grab a fun Halloween kit to cut up for the challenge and you forget to take the 7th panel and put it away? You lightly glue the triangles back together on a piece of pattern ease and then stitch them with a ladder stitch to create Franken blocks! This will definitely be a unique hexified panel OBW!

All stitched back together (see the last pic)! The fact that I tossed the end pieces months ago when I first cut the kit, coupled with the fact I cut one row completely different so the triangles don't line up on the top row will only add character to this little quilt! Still considering how to incorporate them into the layout! Stay tuned!

Now that the ROOTsource project is behind us, we are trying to get a few projects done. We've gotten 3 tops quilted, 2 of those bound, and the 3rd is ready for hand stitching the binding. Les is working on another Valor Quilt for a friend. He finished this hexified panel quilt top a few weeks ago and today I finished adding the borders. This is bigger than our usual throw quilts, closer to twin at 73"x87".

The 36"×44" panel is Running Wild from QT Fabrics.
