AFFORDABLE VACATION ALERT! Quebec City is a personal favorite of ours. We often make the 6 hour drive (that makes you feel as though you've hopped a plane over seas) multiple times a year. Summer is the height of tourist season and we recommend a visit to Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier if you are there this time of year. However, Winter is just as amazing with their over the top Christmas Spirit in December & Winter Carnival in February. Our goto accomodation is Hôtel Le Priori which sits in the heart of Old Quebec, has amazing prices with a wonderful breakfast buffet included in your stay, It is also walking distance to so many wonderful restaurants and pubs. Ciel Bistro-Bar has some of the best views in the city, the floor slowly rotates as you dine giving you a view in every direction over the course of a meal. Pape Georges is our favorite pub on Earth, it's rustic with great drinks and hardy classic food options, make sure to stay for the live music and great vibes. Strøm spa nordique has an amazing outdoor thermal experience along the Banks of the St Lawrence we enjoy every December. There is endless history and beauty in this city and so many great restaurants, shops and people. Follow Bonjour Québec for all things Quebec! We look forward to sharing a full video episode this December. ❤️

Never in a million years did we think this page would hit 5K followers. Thank you all so much! We are just 2 people who work ordinary jobs and love to find affordable travel. The photo below is from a 10 day trip we did from Boston to Kauai. RT flights, rental car and Airbnb for under $3,500. Don't believe us, if 20 people comment "Prove it" on this post, we will release a video showing you exactly how you can do the same.

The Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island. What a road trip! $1 USD currently = $1.39 CAD helping keep a trip to Northeast Canada affordable. The Hotel pictured is Burton's Sunset Oasis, it has a beautiful view but is otherwise a clean simple Motel at a very reasonable price. The photo on the cliffs is off of a dirt road that leads to Meat cove and it's lovely rock beach (a must see) and also where we saw the stunning fox hiding in the brush.

The internet is so strange at times. People seek out arguments and write awful things to complete strangers. Things most of them would never say face to face. Sometimes you just have to drive for hours, find a river and walk up it deep into the woods. Farther than any other human is or has been willing to for years. You slip and stumble on submerged rocks, the option to walk along the land flanking the river evaporates as thorny overgrowth takes over the shores that have not seen human footprints for years. You curse to yourself and think about turning back time and time again. Just when you think, what am I even looking for? you find it. Peace, away from all of the hatred, away from all of the anger, away from those who choose to take out their own pain on others... you realize how inconsequential we all are in the grand scheme of things and simply choose to exist in those moments.... If you read this far, this is your sign to lift others up instead of bringing them down. Life is too short to waste on hate

We had the pleasure of stopping in for a few nights via the Visitation Hotel. The town was founded in 1745. It's downtown features a 50-block historic district with 18th and 19th-century architecture, over 200 shops and restaurants, and Civil War and Revolutionary-era sites. It is located about an hour from Washington, D.C. and Baltimore and not too far from the . Highly recommend! 5 stars.

Hot & humid with a gentle sprinkle falling over the water and our family. The perfect evening swim.

The majority of my life, I hated mornings. As an adult, I'd sleep in for as long as I could. Needing to leave for work at 6am meant setting the alarm for 530am, and snoozing til 545. Just enough time to brush my teeth and put on clothes. So of course i hated mornings..Waking up and immediately having to rush around and head straight to work, was what morning time meant to me.

It wasn't until 4 years ago that I decided to start sacrificing one hour of sleep, and set my alarm for 430 instead of 530. Mornings to me, now mean waking up, having an entire hour to do nothing but sit in silence drinking coffee, either under a cozy blanket on the couch, or outside on the bench listening to the birds at sunrise. No screens, no music, no distractions. Just me, lula and the earth.

I now look forward to waking up early just from one small change. To think I spent all those years hating the very start to my day.

I've traveled a lot and have done a lot of cool things, but those moments of doing absolutely NOTHING but existing on this beautiful planet, are my favorite. To have just one moment of no obligations but to simply be, makes me so grateful.

If I were the woman in this story, I'd go back to those mornings sipping coffee under the apple tree, listening to the birds.

For anyone who's lost in the hustle and bustle of life, I highly recommend finding one small moment to look forward to each day. A moment to appreciate the sun, the air, your body, your existence.
