Dear Loveys,

I wanted to take the time to say a few words. I am stepping down from the industry as I embark on a new chapter focusing on my growing family!

Gilded Rose started as a dream with the goal of gifting every bride a lifetime experience! We are proud to have been part of so many special memories and be able to make every detail of your dream dress perfect.

It’s been such an amazing journey these past 5 years. Gilded Rose has had the pleasure of serving brides from all over the country and we can’t be thankful enough for trusting us with your special day!

This isn’t a goodbye, but a farewell for now!

Trust me when I say this.. hire a photographer that doesn’t make you want to roll your eyes or pull your hair out! Sounds obvious right? But I have heard plenty of horror stories from couples that said their photographer was annoying, rude, nowhere to be found during important moments, or even in the way too much..

When Kate & Ryan were looking for a wedding photographer they first were looking at a bunch of photographers editing & photography styles. After narrowing down what types of photos they were drawn to they were able to start interviewing photographers and they quickly realized they they not only need to like the final product the photographers would deliver but they also needed to mesh well with them on a personal level!

Your photographer is someone you’re going to spend 8, 9, 10+ hours with during one of the biggest day’s of your life! The last thing you want is someone who’s annoying you, I guarantee that will not only SHOW in photos but also every time you look back at the images you’ll remember the experience of taking the photos more than appreciating the photos for what they are.

I asked Kate how she knew I was the photographer for them and here is what she said..

“We both left our initial meeting with Victoria feeling like she understood and tried to understand everything we wanted from our day, that she would be MASSIVELY helpful in the planning process, and we left feeling like a larger weight than just picking a photographer was lifted off our plate. It was SO nice to know she knew what to expect and was there for us every step of the way!

The way you got to know us and our wishes for our big day truly made us feel heard and special. It was so easy talking with you which we knew would make posing and taking pictures (something we are foreign too and so awkward for) that much easier and more memorable.”

Please make sure that out of ALL your vendors, your photographer feels like a friend you’d love to grab a drink with!
