Better food starts with you. 💛🌱
And around here, “you” means a whole lot of people.
It’s our farmers who show up week after week with tables full of food grown, raised and produced right here in our region.
It’s our neighbors who choose to shop those tables and put their dollars directly back into local agriculture.
It’s Help & Hope Food Pantry, helping us make sure fresh, locally grown food reaches families throughout our community.
And it’s Citizens Bank, Bad Boy Mowers and White River Health—three community partners who believed in a bigger vision for what our Farmers Market could be.
Because we're not just trying to grow a market.
We're trying to grow a sustainable local food system in Batesville—one that supports our farmers AND makes fresh, nutritious food accessible to ALL of our neighbors.
Through our food-access initiative, Main Street Batesville is able to purchase eligible unsold produce, meat, dairy and other locally produced foods from our vendors at the end of market and send those items directly to Help & Hope.
That means our farmers are paid for the food they worked hard to produce. Good food doesn't go to waste. And more locally grown food makes its way onto tables throughout our community.
That's a win on every side of the table. ❤️
So today, we're simply saying THANK YOU.
To Citizens Bank, Bad Boy Mowers and White River Health—thank you for putting real dollars behind our farmers, our families and the belief that access to good food matters.
You're helping us grow something much bigger than a seasonal market.
You're helping us grow a stronger, healthier and more sustainable Batesville.
And that is a story worth telling. 🌱
