**30 HOURS OFFSHORE. ZERO TUNA IN THE COOLER. 🏴‍☠️🎣**

We went looking for giant yellowfin tuna.

The Atlantic had other plans.

Three hours of mahi madness, a bunch of undersized bluefin, a mako shark that declined our invitation aboard, and one guy who apparently had a personal sponsorship deal with Poseidon.

Seriously. This bastard caught a bull mahi, four golden tilefish, AND a swordfish.

The rest of us paid for a 30-hour boat ride with complimentary sleep deprivation. 🤣

But the OCONUS gear held up, the mahi made it into the cooler, and nobody had to call the Coast Guard.

**We’re calling that a successful deployment.**

Every now and then, there’s a cause that’s an easy one to stand behind.
Founded on Folly Beach, South Carolina, in 2015 by American combat veterans and surfers, Warrior Surf Foundation helps veterans, active-duty service members, and their families navigate the challenges of post-service life—including PTSD, traumatic brain injury (TBI), moral injury, and survivor’s guilt.
Through surf therapy, yoga, wellness programs, and a strong community, they’re helping veterans find healing one wave at a time.
This August they’re hosting their annual Surf-A-Thon to raise awareness and support for their mission. Whether you donate, participate, or simply help spread the word, every bit of support makes a difference.

Happy Sunday from OCONUS. 🤙
We finally got our Beach Bum Dad Hats exactly where we wanted them. After a few rounds of sampling, the embroidery is clean, the fit is right, and we’re calling these approved.
But... here’s the surprise.
We also had a couple of trucker samples show up that weren’t on the schedule. A minimalist deathgull paired with some camo combinations. They’re different, understated, and we’re really liking where they’re headed.
Nothing’s available just yet—we’re still dialing everything in—but we wanted to give you a look at what’s coming.

Nothing better than seeing OCONUS riding along on gear that’s actually used. Sun, salt, fish slime, road trips, and stories. That’s exactly where we belong.

OCONUS has never been about making another veteran apparel brand.
The military will always be part of our DNA, but the destination has always been the coast.
Every camouflage we create starts with that idea—taking the discipline and history of military patterns and translating them into something that belongs on the beach, the boat, the sandbar, or the pier.
This latest concept, Sand Tiger, is inspired by shallow water, tidal flats, and the coastline. Not made to disappear into the woods... made to feel at home where the ocean meets the shore.
That’s what OCONUS is becoming: a coastal lifestyle brand built by veterans, not just for veterans.

So excited to show y’all something I’ve been working on in the background. OCONUS signature camos. Inspired by military camos, given a coastal twist, and blended in the way OCONUS does. The first up on deck is what I call Oceanic Tiger Stripe. Inspired by the iconic tiger stripe camouflage pattern and reimagined through a periscope, Oceanic Tiger Stripe replaces jungle tones with deep ocean blues, seafoam, and sun-bleached bone. The result is a camouflage pattern that feels more at home on a sandbar than a battlefield. Initially it’ll be run as a UPF 50 hoodie (I’m putting it through its durability paces right now), then will be available in swim trunks. I hope you’re all as excited as I am about it, as well as the rest of the line-up to include Midnight Surf Tiger Stripe, Ocrachip, Blackbeards Brushstroke, and RADCAM. Release date on these si shirts TBD pending testing and evaluation. Hope everyone has a great holiday!
