Originally established in April of 1999 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, entrepreneur, designer and fashion doctor, Lisa Barona McRoberts specializes in one-of-a-kind, award-winning, custom-fitted, evening, wedding and debutante gowns made of exquisite and luxurious fabrics. She also designs and creates Mardi Gras royal court gowns.

d style preferences. However, Lisa's design inspiration is greatly influenced by nature, primarily from the flora and fauna in Louisiana, as well as the surrounding scenery, culture, and traditions. "I'm really fortunate to be from such a rich melting pot of Spanish and French influence, with a very eclectic style and laid back environment. We really celebrate and enjoy life here."

The newly launched LiLi by Lisa Lewis line was shown and partially picked up by the museum store. Ironically, I went full circle this season, back to hand painting luxurious silk scarves, one of my first loves. I also threw in some elaborately embellished Mardi Gras masks for multiple uses, Halloween costuming, debutante balls, wedding/bridal second lines, and Saints games. Also featured were my Louisiana alligator accessories.

And now the details about my wedding dress. Maria Victoria at Rene Ruiz Couture at the Hollendale Store collaborated with me to create my gorgeous wedding gown that fit perfectly! I first saw the embroidered fabric in my favorite colors of blue on the Saks site in a different styled gown and thought it looked just like water which was perfect for a beach wedding. Since the fabric was custom made for them, I asked Maria if we could collaborate to make me a custom wedding gown using their fabric. She was amazing and paid attention to all of the details especially my measurements. Together we designed and created my dream dress. I’m still astonished how it fit so perfectly without a hitch as we did everything long distance. I just loved it and so did Errin!

We are honored to be participating in the Longue Vue House & Gardens Made to Match Design Symposium on Saturday, June 11th at 11:00 am. It’s a creative and thoughtful collaboration of architects, interior designers and fashion. Our design challenge was to select a garment that best supported the architecture and interior design of a room in the lovely estate. Other participants include Jolie & Elizabeth, and Romey Rowe. As usual, Tracee Dundas is part of the master mind behind this event.
