Every construction-loving kid needs this book 🚜

The Diggers takes kids underground through tunnels, dirt, animals, and giant machines. If your child slows down every time they pass a construction site, they’ll probably love this one.

If this book made you cry a little… then you totally get it 🥲

Knuffle Bunny somehow captures toddler chaos, miscommunication, and losing the favorite stuffed animal SO perfectly.

And the mix of real photographs with Mo Willems’ illustrations makes the whole story feel incredibly real.

A really beautiful picture book about how everything in nature connects together 🌿

Because of an Acorn introduces ecosystems and the circle of life in such a simple, visual way for little kids.

A really solid toddler book about big feelings and frustration.

Racer Learns to Use His Words gives little kids actual words they can use when they’re upset instead of only focusing on the behavior itself.

This might be one of the coolest children’s books I own.

The MinaLima edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone turns the story into an actual experience with interactive pages, hidden details, and gorgeous illustrations throughout the entire book ⚡️

One of the most honest sibling books I’ve read.

The New Small Person shows the frustration, jealousy, and eventually the comfort that can grow between siblings over time.

This book captures the feeling of getting frustrated and wanting to give up SO well.

The Most Magnificent Thing is such a good conversation starter about mistakes, creativity, and trying again.

Kids who never stop moving will LOVE this one 🐠

Fidgety Fish is such a fun, active story and the illustrations keep everything moving the whole way through.

This one really stood out to me.

Not Quite Snow White is such a good reminder of how much words can stick with kids… and how important it is to help them find their way back to themselves.

It doesn’t try to rush past the hurt, and I appreciated that. It just shows them they don’t have to change who they are.

This is one I would keep on hand, especially as they get a little older.

This one is such a good conversation starter.

I Have A Doll Just Like You shows kids what it looks like to include someone when they notice something different. It doesn’t overcomplicate it, and it gives them a way to move forward instead of feeling unsure.

If you have elementary-aged kids… or you’re trying to raise kids who are aware and kind… this is a really good one to have at home.

Chapter books for second graders.

This is such a good stage to find books that feel manageable and still exciting.

Short chapters really help build confidence and keep them interested.
