I’m a mom of two little girls, and once I became a mom, I quickly realized how difficult it was to make true, genuine friendships especially “mom friends.”
It wasn’t until my oldest daughter started kindergarten that everything changed.
Slowly, organically, I found my village.
A group of women from different backgrounds and personalities began chatting a little longer each day at school drop-off. What started as quick hellos turned into real conversations. When the weather finally warmed up (and if you live in Michigan, you know how big of a deal that is), we began staying after school so our kids could play on the playground—and so we could talk a little more.
Our kids became friends, just like we did.
We shared our lives, our struggles, our laughs, and most importantly, we showed up for one another. It was the first time in a long time that I felt truly seen like my feelings were valid and I wasn’t alone in the beautiful chaos of motherhood.
We decided to call ourselves the Feral Moms Club.
And yes… we even started hanging out outside of the school parking lot. These incredible women became some of my closest friends. Fast forward three years later, and what began as a group of five has grown into eight and continues to grow. Along the way, we’ve welcomed more women who share our story: moms navigating love, exhaustion, joy, overwhelm, and everything in between.
The Feral Moms Club was born from real life, real friendships, and real support. It’s about community, connection, and knowing that no matter how chaotic motherhood gets you are not alone.
