I had the opportunity to get an amazing gentlemen's machine up and running on 2/25/24! A beautiful machine with so many issues I almost didn't know where to start. I had this Consew up and sewing perfect stitches in a couple of hours. It was a true pleasure to make your acquaintance, Don!

Not the glammer photo I'd hoped to have captured, but more of a photo in mid-repair.
A water park called, seems they bought a machine in California, but it's never ran since its arrival. Timing issue, a needle issue and definately a thread tension issue. Up and running January 29th 2022

We got this slick machine up and running tonight, January 20th 2022. Sad state of disrepair when it showed up. Bound up and wound up so tight! Lotsa oil and wrenching and it's laying the stitches down so nice now!

Fixed this beauty on January 14, 2022. So many things not right with it. Shredding thread, skipping stitches, breaking needles.. Owners said it never ran right from the date of purchase.
Very cool people, I hope I hear from them again, but not because the machine needs work.. 😆

Got the opportunity to fix this machine up near Traverse City last week. The machine was awesome. Literally 0 miles sewn on it. Definately a keeper!

Got to tune up a couple of classic machines today, Never worked on a Thompson before.... Sturdy lil machine! This was the smoothest National I ever worked on.

Just got this gem up and running today. Parts not available anymore. I've been searching the Internet for about 5 months now and finally got the missing component. From boat anchor to functioning money making machine! National 280L. Broken Bobbin case, timing, needle replaced. Clean & L**e... Repair completed 2/04/2017

Nice road trip up to the Clare area. Worked on and fixed 4 machines, one of which was this one. I did my first (non-family) home machine repair, another first was that it was also a treadle machine.

I got to work on two identical machines this week. Set them both up for running thick 138 thread. One also need a timing adjustment. The hook would pierce and shred the thread every revolution.
