I am so grateful for every door that has opened along our journey.
In the beginning, my hope was to have a scholarship fund honoring our Zoe Grace.
Without asking- Krystal Singleton and Emily Brewer jumped into action with a bucket drop.
A few days later Ashton Black and Millie B’s Beadery + Permanent Jewelry reached out letting me know that they were fundraising with bracelets.
Then we found out about our girls heart condition and I couldn’t sleep knowing that there could have been a test that detected it, and she had never qualified for it.
I made it my goal then to start looking for ways to screen her peers.
I found Eric Schroeder and “My Heart Check”.
It was then that all of the things clicked- I knew what I had to do.
With the many Zoe winks I had been gifted, I designed T-shirts that EZN Outfitters was so kind to allow me to stock and sell in their store.
The school allowed us to fundraise with shirts and a memorial game.
We sold pajamas at multiple community Christmas events.
A few local companies have gifted us with donations, and multiple families have sponsored anywhere from 1-4 children’s scans.
In 6 months we have raised $23,000.00.
The original plan was to offer the scholarship, but, we have decided that this year we will use those funds toward the screening event.
I hope to someday be able to have a scholarship, but, this preventative measure is far more important to me at this point.
We are $5,600 from our goal.
I am not giving up.
I am praying.
If you, your business, or your team would be interested in giving and helping us close this gap to have 100% of all scans paid in full for 104 students, please reach out to me.
