Nearly 60 years ago, my mom opened Lady Gray, planting strong roots in this beautiful Beacon community.
For the past 45 years, I have had the honor of carrying on that legacy, helping brides and families find their dream gowns. As I approached this moment, I prayed for clarity, and with that clarity I realize this is the right time for me to retire. I'm now ready to focus on being with my family, especially my two grandsons, who always ask if Nunnie can stay just one more day. Lady Gray, our second-generation bridal salon, has been so much more than a business; it's been a source of comfort, love, and trust. I am forever grateful to every bride who graced my salon. I want to reassure all my brides and moms that I am not leaving just yet!
My closing date is looking more like late October, so there is no need to worry. It's business as usual. As I step into retirement, I do so with a full heart, and with a deep sense of gratitude. This is more than a goodbye-it is a thank you.
Thank you for every dress, every relationship, every love story, and every photograph proudly holding my sign:
"For My Picture Perfect Day, I Got My Gown at Lady Gray”. And to my wonderful husband and children, none of this would have been possible without your love and support. What a beautiful community we have here. Thank you, Beacon, for being such an important part of my life💗

This week feels like a good time to pause and recognize the kind of work that doesn’t get enough credit.
