While in Canada this past Fall, Ford Walpole reached out to me and asked if I would be interested in writing an article for the Charleston Mercury about life north of the border. Now here we are in the midst of Spring and I have to come to grips with the fact that my waterfowl season is inevitably coming to a close. I remember on an afternoon scout in Alberta, watching snow geese literally descend from the heavens, arriving from the North. Just two days ago in Arkansas we watched groups slowly gain altitude and continue their journey back North. It is not lost on me how lucky I am to have had the opportunity to witness the migration on both ends. It has been nothing short of a wild ride. Now my sights are set on September 1st and I am looking forward to hunting with many of y’all this Fall.
